UWC International
The scope of the United World College movement is truly global and includes:
- 13 colleges located throughout the world
- 124 affiliated National Committees that manage the student selection from each of their countries.
- 35,000 individual members in virtually every country in the world.
UWC International is registered as a charitable company in England and Wales with its head office in London.
Board of Directors
The movement is governed by an international board of directors that meets twice annually and has responsibility for:
- Defining the ethos of the UWC.
- Overseeing the constituent entities, including criteia and accrediation for these.
- Providing forum for development.
- Maintaining communication between entities and members.
Colleges
Each of the UWC colleges is autonomously governed and self funded.
New college proposals undergo an accreditation process managed by UWC International.

National Committees
UWC is represented by volunteer National Committees in 124 countries. It is a unique system which enables students to be selected from within their own communities and cultures with the independent National Committees responisbile for this. Many also raise funds to supplement scholarships or to run their own programmes and courses.
National Committee volunteers include UWC graduates, educationalists, community leaders and other interested supporters.

International Office
The United World Colleges International Office is the executive arm of the UWC International Board of Directors and the registered office for The United World College (International).
The primary functions of the International Office are to act as a secretariat for the International Board including the development of the UWC movement and implementation of the Board's policies, and to deal with movement-wide communications and coordination, especially in relation to National Committees and the selection of students.
